if a person follows a wholesome diet and lifestyle (Pathya), there's no need for medicine, Conversely, if a person ignores wholesome practices (Apathya), medicines will not be effective.

Diet or Pathya refers to those foods, lifestyle choices, and regimens that are beneficial and promote well-being for both the body and mind.

 

In Ayurveda, the concept of Pathya is central to maintaining health and managing disease. 

 

Pathya is not just about diet but also encompasses lifestyle practices, including daily routines (Dinacharya) and seasonal regimens (Ritucharya)

  • Clears microchannels (srotas) of the body.

  • Maintains the normalcy of the doshas, preventing imbalances that lead to illness.

  • Essential for preventing illnesses and promoting health.

  • Supports the body's natural defense mechanisms and boosts immunity.
