Ayurvedic management strategies @ Vaidyamrit Ayurveda :

Ayurveda offers a holistic approach to managing skin disorders by addressing the root causes and promoting overall well-being. This typically involves a combination of internal and external therapies, including:

  • Panchakarma: This intensive detoxification therapy uses techniques like Virechana(therapeutic purgation), Rakta Mokshana(bloodletting), and Basti (medicated enemas) to eliminate toxins and balance doshas, particularly beneficial for chronic and recurrent skin conditions.

  • External therapies: Herbal pastes (Lepas), medicated oils (Abhyanga), and herbal decoction baths (Parisheka) are used to soothe, heal, and restore skin integrity. Ingredients like red sandalwood, licorice, and tree turmeric are employed for their cooling, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties.

  • Herbal medicines and internal detoxification:Specific herbs like Neem (antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory), Turmeric (anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antimicrobial), Manjistha (blood purifier, anti-inflammatory), and others are used in formulations to cleanse the blood, reduce inflammation, and support skin health.

  • Dietary and lifestyle modifications:

  • Personalized dietary plans focusing on fresh, seasonal, and easy-to-digest foods are recommended, while processed foods, excessive caffeine, and alcohol are discouraged. Stress management practices such as yoga, meditation, and adequate rest are also crucial for balancing doshas and promoting skin health.

Neurological Disorders

Neurological disorders encompass a vast array of conditions impacting the central and peripheral nervous systems. These disorders can manifest in a multitude of symptoms, ranging from movement difficulties and tremors to cognitive decline, seizures, and sensory disturbances.

Common Neurological issues are: Stroke, Peripheral neuropathy,Trigeminal neuralgia,Migraine, Tension Headache,Bell’s palsy, carpal tunnel syndrome .

Ayurveda, an ancient Indian medical system, perceives neurological disorders as imbalances in the body's three vital energies, or doshas, particularly the Vata dosha. Vata, representing the principle of movement, is considered crucial for the proper functioning of the nervous system. When Vata becomes aggravated or imbalanced, it can disrupt nerve impulses and lead to various neurological problems, including tremors, nerve weakness, and memory impairment.
