Vamana: therapeutic vomiting or emesis
In healthy individuals, Vamana is practiced as Vasantika Vamana during the Vasanta season for the seasonal elimination of aggravated kapha dosha. It is also utilized as a preventive therapy. Those who undergo regular and periodic Vamana sessions remain unaffected by Kaphaja diseases such as cough, hoarseness of voice, excessive sleepiness, drowsiness, halitosis, and complications arising from toxins (visha).
Virechana (Purgation):
Virechana is a cleansing technique that focuses on the lower digestive tract, primarily the liver and intestines. Through the use of herbal laxatives, toxins are expelled from the body, particularly those related to Pitta imbalances, like inflammation and skin disorders. Jaundice, acidity, and digestive problems are among the conditions for which this treatment is frequently advised.it is a complete therapeutic measure which has systemic as well as local effects.
Basthi:
Vasti involves the administration of herbal oils or decoctions through the rectum. Basti Karma mentioned in Ayurvedic classics is having broader therapeutic action on almost all the tissues of the body and have rejuventive, curative, preventive and health promotive actions.
Nasya (Nasal Administration):
Nasya involves administering medicated oils or herbal mixtures into the nostrils, helping to clear toxins from the head and neck region. Nasya is highly effective for sinus issues, migraines, and hair and vision problems, as well as certain neurological disorders.
This typically includes gentle facial massages and steam therapies as part of the Nasya treatment, enhancing the detoxification of the upper body.
Raktamokshana (Bloodletting):
